And now what?

Friday, January 27, 2012
I am home sick today.  I came home from work yesterday around 1ish, went to the doctor and found out that 1. my MRI was normal so they don't know what's causing my headaches and 2. I do not have strep throat.  And with that pronouncement, my sore throat went lower and turned into a HORRIBLE cough that causes me to do things I am not comfortable talking about.  However, I do sound like a diesel truck revving up.  So maybe this will attract some country boys?  (Just an option if husband ever leaves!!)

And so, today I got up around 10am, grabbed a bowl of peaches and some water and sat down at my computer to get my rogue those goddamn daggers.  My guildmate (who is about the sweetest girl ever) linked me to this video to get through the city.  She also wrote up a bit huge long list for us to get through it with.  With a second by second guide.

And with that guide, it took me .... 3 hours to get to that dickface Creed.  Where I proceeded to spend over 2 hours more dying to him before I even got him down 10%.  However, I can stealth my way through Gilneas like a freaking PRO bitches.  I don't even have to pause half the time.  I just fly stealth right through there! BAM!

I have got dual spec and made it a sub spec to see if that helps.  Honestly, I think I just need to get her some better gear before I try this.  Either that or have someone standing outside who can buff me as needed.

And also, in a different vein, I am looking for a new guild.  I believe my husband will be coming with me, but he's not really doing a lot right now to show that.  However, it is hard to find a guild that fits what I want.  I don't want 25's and I want to stay Horde.  So, yeah. wish me luck.  I do have a couple feelers out but I don't know what husband thinks.  I'm half afraid he's just going to quit WoW completely.  And I'm not ready for that yet!!

2012 in 2012

As the leveling fool that I am, I decided to accept the leveling challenge that JD Kenada has issued for this year.  What you do is gain 2012 levels during this year.  There are some guidelines that he wants us to follow and bam!  I'm off.

The only thing is, right now I have two accounts.  I was up front with him about this and I explained to him that my level 85's are split across these accounts pretty evenly.  He said that was okay and he'd work with me so I can participate!  Yay!

So, here is what I have right now, without toon names or servers:

85 tauren druid
85 goblin mage
85 undead rogue
84 troll death knight
76 undead warlock
74 goblin warrior
62 goblin shaman
42 tauren paladin
41 dwarf priest
17 blood elf priest
76 night elf druid
72 human mage
61 gnome rogue
56 draenei priest
53 draenei shaman
40 draenei paladin
30 gnome warlock
13 dwarf hunter
13 worgen warlock
5 gnome warrior
69 dwarf death knight
12 draenei warrior
7 gnome mage
19 worgen priest
6 worgen druid
11 night elf druid
5 blood elf paladin
5 human hunter
16 goblin warlock
6 troll druid
9 blood elf warlock
85 blood elf priest
85 blood elf paladin
85 orc shaman
80 blood elf hunter
70 troll warlock
50 orc mage
48 worgen warrior
34 troll druid
41 tauren priest
58 draenei death knight
7 dwarf shaman
43 gnome priest
4 worgen warlock

Add that together, subtract the needed amount for the extra death knights and I have 1787 as of today.  (According to my spreadsheet of characters!)  This means I'm 88.8% done.  And I'll be gaining another 32 just in leveling the rest of my 10 toons to 85.  Yay!

I'd plan more but I'm completely exhausted.  Yay!  Levels!!

Despite not having time, I guess I still play a lot!

Our missing mage checked in yesterday!  He's doing well.  Just busy with the new baby and his wife and girls.  I'm so happy that he thinks enough of us to check in.

Other then that, I have not been spending a lot of time in WoW.  It's summer so we have weddings, BBQ's, hikes and other things to do.  However, we got into the random dungeon finder yesterday as a group of 4 and ran probably 4-5 regular heroics to get our valor points.  We're now 1 troll heroic away from our weekly cap and sounds like we'll do that tonight when J gets home from tennis.

I suppose I should talk about 'the group'.  It's our guildleader (who happens to be one of my best friends), his wife (who is my resto shaman healing buddy), my husband and myself.  We always ask if anyone wants to come with us, but everyone else had busy things to do, so it was just us.  We picked up a jerk of a mage for our 1st random.  We got almost to the end of Grim Batol, he started being an asshole (yelling at the dps who is putting out more dps then you, while we carry your ass through a heroic is not acceptable) so we kicked him and got a awesome mage who we tried to run some more heroics with.  But her computer crashes after the 1st boss of Lost City of Tol'vir so she left and we got a warlock who was nice and sweet that we ended up running with him for 3-4 more heroics.  He got some nice upgrades, yay!  And we got all the regular heroics we could so our guildleader could get some easy chaos orbs so he can make weapons.

Which is what I want him to do for me.  So I'm all for running heroics with him until he gets the needed chaos orbs.  And of course, I need to get my truegold together.  Luckily, my mage is a transmute specced alchemist!

I also spent my evening, after the heroics, getting my kitty gear enchanted.  I need to get my shaman buddy to make me the BOE epic belt.  Or I could just wait until I'm honored with Avengers of Hyjal.  I don't know what I want yet.  I'll probably wait.  Once I'm all good, I'll switch back to kitty and practice a bit there.

Still doing my Hyjal dailies every day!  We just unlocked the blacksmith.  So now we just have the ancients left!  Quite fun I guess.  As soon as my druid finishes it, I'll start doing the dailies on my priest.  I can't do them at the same time.  I'm too ugh about dailies.  Stupid dailies!

Stagnation

My raiding team is stagnating.  I'm feeling constrained by this yet I'm not sure what to do.  Last night, we had 8 people show up for raid.  Two of our members didn't sign up (everyone who did sign up, showed up!), one of them was the aforementioned mage who just had a baby boy.  The other one is our last remaining death knight.  (We had about 5-7 of them that raided back in the day but now they've all left and it's just this one.)  He's great and all I'm just concerned about him.

So, real life is kicking us in the teeth.  Yay real life.  Tonight is shaping up to be a carbon copy of last night.  Which sucks.  People are getting frustrated at our lack of raiding.  Everyone has been very gracious so far, but still.  It's very defeating every week.

However, last week I managed to cap my valor points.  This week, it looks like we might cap them again.  We did some heroics yesterday instead of raiding, and then after I went to take a break, we pugged enough to do Baradon Hold.  So that's a nice little chunk.  I'm not going to kill myself to cap each week but since I want to get some mail intellect heirlooms, I'm not too concerned about running heroics.

In the Hyjal dailies department, Husband and I unlocked the moonwell first so that I could get all my healing stuff, new relic and new offhand. Pretty pleased with that, plus I got some cool stuff for my kitty set.  That's coming along nicely!  I'm not sure what we'll unlock next, I think I'll leave that up to him.  So he can get something nice this time.

I'm just feeling very blah right now.  I need to kick myself in the butt.  Suggestions for doing so?

Impressions of 4.2

Honestly, I love the new area.  Except that it's the typical 'first day' syndrome.  Bunch of flagged people being asshats, standing on quest givers, running around being punks.  I convinced my best friend (my co-healer in our raids), my husband and my best friend's husband (who is our guild master) to go with me to do the Thrall questline and the first batch of dailies.

The Thrall questline was were the most asshats were.  It started with flagged Alliance in that little grove where Aggra and the dragons are.  We went to the Air spire, where there were more flagged Alliance.  I flipped from boomkin to resto to make things easier for my friends and suddenly my husband says "Aw, shit."  He'd tab targeted a hunter and got flagged.  So, of course, now I'm flagged as I'm throwing rejuvs around while actually fighting.  The hunter turns to me and starts attacking.  I tell everyone in party chat "kill the hunter, he's attacking me."  The hunter goes down, and the 4 of us clear the area of flagged Alliance.  We finish up, killing off the stragglers that show up and as we're getting ready to leave, a force of about 5-8 flagged Alliance show up.  They're right next to Aggra, between us and the edge.  So my little shaman buddy thunderstorms them off the side.  It was awesome.

We get to the Water area, our PVP buffs wear off and we easily finish that up.  Then it's off to Deepholm.  We don't get flagged there and move onto the Firelands.  Which was covered in flagged Alliance.  They're running between you and the mobs, standing on them so you might hit them.  Husband judges a rogue by accident and ends up flagged.  He tells me not to heal him, so my shaman buddy heals him instead, getting flagged herself.  So I heal both of them and the 3 of us die in a 4 pally blender.  Argh.  ARGH!  We run back, and stand there until our PVP buff wears off.

We finish off the questline, I start to sniffle (yeah. I'm overly emotional these days!) and I get a sweet new cloak.  I reforged a bit of the mastery to spirit since I love me some spirit.

We headed over to the new daily area, which was pretty awesome.  It really sucks that you only get 2 dailies to do at first.  I'm gonna start doing those dailies on my priest I think.  I can't wait to get my 20 tokens to unlock the next area!  Woot woot!

I'm pretty pleased with what I've seen so far.  We're not going to step into Firelands the raid yet.  Looks like this week we're going to try to down Nef and then maybe move to BoT next week.  I hope that's our plan at least!

And lastly, BOE valor bracers.  About. Freaking. Time.  Someday I will get them!
